The exhibition concept for the Audi Urban Future Award 2012 at the Haskˆy Spinning Factory in Istanbul provides an equal volume for each metropolitan region with various heights and footprints correspondend. Each volume is planned as a 'lantern' with translucent and partly mirroring wall surfaces evoking an interaction between the respective exhibition area and the common 'global public space'.
The filigree construction of the lanterns achieve an suspenseful contrast to the rough structure of the exhibition hall. The variation of heights for the lanterns offers various possibilities with regard to the content for the curators. Due to multiple views the vertical separation at the same time provides an overall context for the visitors.
